Not very good

I have not been doing Philippians 4:8 very good, especially lately. I have always been a hardcore complainer, a pessimist and a cynic. When I look at my life and my actions and how well I measure up to God’s commands… I am hopeless. How many times will God be patient and forgive when I sin? Christ on the cross is my only hope! His healing is wider than my wound is killing, and his grace abounds more than my sin!! My aim is not to make light of my sin, but all I know to do is put my trust in Christ and start over.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 esv)

We talked about this verse in care group tonight. Not in a Pollyanna ignore-bad-things sorta way but in looking at all the ways that God has genuinely blessed us! It was very practically applying God’s word to our lives in specific ways. I was just really encouraged by our care group tonight!

Halo3:ODST complete!!

So Brad and I completed Halo3:ODST on legendary difficulty tonight! We have been working hard.. now I’m going to bed because it feels like midnight after the time change..
